Let’s get this out of the way: Sucker Punch is great looking, but it’s one of the most complete failures in modern film. Maybe if it didn’t look so great it would be easier to forgive, but being able to clearly see how much time was put into this production makes it all the less excusable. However, all is not lost! Despite its best efforts to be a steaming pile of crap, there are some unintentionally amazing things to be found here… aside from the freakishly beautiful lead character played by Emily Browning, of course. Holy shit Humans, it’s been a while!
Over the last few months due to work obligations, an increasingly busy social life, and a superhuman degree of laziness, I have been absent from the online world of television review columns. But never fear, the legend has returned! That one ingredient that has been missing from your lives has been restocked and its time to get your fill bitches! Read more…
It’s sometimes hard to remember that Rockstar began by pushing peoples buttons with intentionally controversial games way back in the 90’s. In retrospect, GTA is fairly tame and pedestrian, but despite the controversy, Rockstar has been consistently pushing the boundaries of interactive entertainment since GTA 3. As bold as this may sound, the world of entertainment has been forever changed by Rockstar. LA Noire is no exception. Read more…
Having been driven back to the world of the working in late November, I am just now readjusted to waking in the AM and finally able to catch-up on some long overdue writing. Last year was not the best year for gaming, but the games that were good were amazing and a handful of ‘triple A’ titles made the slow seasons well worth it. Naturally there was a lot of garbage released last year, but the games featured on this list are the ones that will ultimately define 2010.
I should note that I am just one person, and I work, so I didn’t get to play nearly as many games as I wanted. However, of the ones I have played, here are my favorites in descending order: Read more…

Well humans, its finally happened! Week after week of bold moves, hardcore overt strategy, and very public feuding have failed to do Marty in. It had gotten to a point where we though that he was damn near invincible! Him and his ridiculous untamed mane were strutting around Nicaragua like they were cock of the walk. But all of that came to an end this week, as Marty was finally sent packing.

I haven’t posted anything to sofabot.com in a long time – if it wasn’t for Beej, this site would be a museum of stuff I used to write. I cannot accept responsibility for my absence, however, as I was held captive by the life consuming addiction of Fallout: New Vegas. I was powerless against it. In fact, it had such a hold on me that it nearly ruined/ended my life on several different levels. Read more…

Hey Humans! It’s late, and I’m tired! Due to a little recording gaffe on the part of yours truly, I am currently writing the column after watching the late edition of Survivor, but enough about my problems with technology. There was a merge tonight, and that means shake-a shake-a! Everything goes up in the air! Shall we?
We begin at LaFlor where Uncle Fabio as some tree-mail for the group, and it looks like no time is being wasted here, no hesitation, no build up… SNAP! Merge baby! Read more…

This Halloween has been kick ass for me in terms of TV viewership. I have been watching non-stop scary movies, have been blown away by Halloween episodes of both Community and Glee, and now, tonight, have been introduced to yet another brilliant achievement by the Jesus of TV networks, AMC. In the true spirit of Halloween, AMC premieres its new Zombie series, the Walking Dead. Now before I start this column, I just want to say that I have not read the comics. So any comments I make here will relate strictly to the TV show, with no pre-determined knowledge of the comic series upon which it was based. I have however ordered a number of issues from Amazon and am eagerly anticipating their arrival. So let’s hit it.
